On behalf of the ICU’s 40 European National Federations and ICU’s 95 National Federations around the World, the ICU is pleased to announce the 2011 ECU European Cheerleading Championships to be held the first weekend of July 2011 to the BEAUTIFUL host city…. Prague, Czech Republic!!

With the overwhelming global support and progress of the ICU, we are pleased to announce that the International Cheer Union (“ICU”) has successfully submitted the ICU’s 2011 SportAccord Formal Application for Membership of Cheer; adhering to SportAccord’s 10 October 2010 deadline for their review.

The International Cheer Union (“ICU”) continues to be overwhelmed by the outstanding developments around to world in providing top quality cheerleading education, and exceptional event opportunities structured to be inclusive for the great athletes and coaches in our great sport.

Members of the International Cheer Union’s Governing Council successfully introduced the sport of Cheer to executives from over 100 international sports federations and organizations at the annual SportAccord International Convention in Dubai on April 27 – 30, 2010.
