About the ICU

The International Cheer Union (ICU) was established on 26 April 2004 and is the recognized world governing body of Cheer (Cheerleading & Performance Cheer). ICU comprises of 119 member National Cheer Federations and 10 million athletes on all continents.

Education

ICU provides coaches training and certifications on safety, rules, technical training and overall program development strategies. Course work mixed with video and practical application training, and required field work- provides great value to the stewards of or sport- the coaches!

Championships

The ICU administers various levels of championship events yearly throughout the world. The events are created for club or national teams and consist of scholastic, continental and global championships. ICU's 119 member nations are able to take place in these championships.
